Christian blues/hard rock outfit Allies were formed in 1983 by vocalist Bob Carlisle and guitarist Randy Thomas, who'd worked with the Sweet Comfort Band. Allies released their self-titled debut album in 1983 and built up a fairly solid fan base, becoming one of the best Christian rock/blues outfits around. The songwriting and musicianship in this band was nothing short of astounding as they got better and better with each album. They released their final album, their sixth, in 1992, before splitting.
