Just to recap, however, the band is
essentially a trio put together by
David T Chastain, the Cincinatti
guitar virtuoso well know as a
soloist as well as for his work
with CJSS. Joining Chastain on
bass is Kevin Kekes and ex-Trouble
drummer Dennis Lesh. This is a
blues/southern rock album of the
highest order and it features
Chastain at his best. The
beautiful woman on the sleeve is
reason enough to buy the album!

Biography by Steve Huey
Shred-guitar virtuoso David T.
Chastain formed the Southern
Gentlemen as a vehicle for
exploring heavy, Southern-fried
blues-rock in the vein of idols,
like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower,
and ZZ Top. The group was
rounded out by bassist Kevin
Kekes and drummer Dennis Lesh,
while Chastain assumed lead
vocal duties. Exotic Dancer
Blues, the band's unabashedly
'70s-worshipping debut, was
released in late 2000.
