If the name Norman Whitfield rings a bell, you'll probably remember that he was associated with the Motown label and artists like The Temptations, Edwin Starr and others. He later produced the likes of Stargard and Rose Royce, as well as this great funk outfit, who were led by vocalist Taka Boom, sister of Chaka Khan. The Undisputed Truth were formed in 1970, and our featured track was a massive hit on the R & B charts in 1977. They split in the early 80's.
